Les platicamos acerca del catre plegable "XL Universal" de TETON, nos propusimos crear un catre plegable súper resistente que fuera tan cómodo como tu cama en casa y que además fuera fácil de armar. Su alta resistencia radica en el diseño de las patas en forma de X de acero, con una capacidad de carga de 181 kg (400 libras).
Es increíblemente fácil de montar. Gracias a nuestro brazo pivotante patentado (el palito de color rojo) en una de las esquinas ahora es posible armar este catre con el mínimo esfuerzo. De lo que hablamos es una palanca incorporada que facilita la colocación rápida y sencilla de la barra de uno de los extremos. Prácticamente el brazo pivotante hace todo el trabajo por ti, por lo que la cuarta esquina que ajusta la lona firmemente es tan fácil de armar como la primera.
La lona del catre plegable Universal XL de TETON también está hecho de lona Oxford 600D que te durará toda la vida. Bought this size to go with the other 2 xxl cots we have. Chose this to reduce size in our tent and wife doesn’t need one as big as the xxl. Bought the camp pads as well and they make a huge difference and are very comfortable. However, we noticed the end rods that attach at each end stick out a very significant amount and catch’s my son age 4 when walking by. They aren’t evenly spaced and I’ve reached out to Teton CS in hopes of an answer or replacement. We will have to purchase something to cover the ends since the rods are very long out the sides and will catch everyone walking by. Hopefully it’s a design flaw or a bad rods. We can’t go smaller and have high hopes in their customer service for making this right.

This cot is so comfortable, it is like sleeping at home. This cot, coupled with the Teton Universal XL pad, takes tent camping to another level. It is like sleeping at home. I found this size to be sufficient. I weigh 200 lbs and am 5' 11" and find it to be of sufficient size. The larger XXL might be a tad better fit for me but would not fit my tent as well as the XL. I have a North Face Wawona 8, and though very large, I prefer setting the cots on the ends of the tent which block the two end doors but provides for a lot of open floor space for chairs and a small table, Bluetti power bank, and other electronic devices. The red lever which assists in placing the end supports in the appropriate place, is a game changer. At 76 years of age, I don't think I would be able to assemble a cot without this feature. With the assist feature, assembling the cot is easy and simple. This cot is one of my best tent camping purchases.

This cots fits my 6'3" 300-lb frame well, is super comfortable, but is still small enough to not take up a crazy amount of space for tents at Scout camp and deer camp.

I set one of them up to practice, easy setup, no issues with weight, feels super sturdy and comfortable with the additional cot pad we purchased. looking forward to our trip. I will report more after we have used them in the field. would recommend this product!

My order arrived promptly and correctly. I went with the cot, canvas camp pad, and side bag and was favorably impressed with the quality of the materials as well as the construction. While it is not light, it wasn't designed for hiking, it has a substantial feel that I like. The cot almost assembles itself when you remove it from its carry bag and I found what little assembly was required to be intuitive. Once you slide the end bars into place and flip the little red lever, you should find you have a rock-solid cot frame. With the camp pad added I found the cot & pad combination surprisingly comfortable by themselves. Heck, I even called the wife in and had her try it out and she was impressed. I'm 5'8" tall & 185 lbs and I had plenty of head, leg, and side room on this cot. I'm impressed with the solid design, it's easy to lay down on and get up from and doesn't squeak, or rock around. Shopping for something like a really good camping cot wasn't as easy as I had expected it to be. Teton's products were something I kept coming back to as I narrowed down the candidates and I ended up ordering from Teton with the expectation that I was going to receive a well-thought-out, quality product and I was not disappointed.
